OVH API Anti-DDoS Mitigation Auto-Toggle

Flowtriq + OVH
Anti-DDoS

Trigger OVH's anti-DDoS mitigation via API when Flowtriq detects an attack. Automatically enable and disable OVH mitigation based on attack status for hands-free DDoS response.

When the attack ends, Flowtriq calls the API again to disable mitigation and restore normal traffic handling.

Setup

Connect in three steps

1. Create OVH API credentials
Visit: https://api.ovh.com/createToken/ Rights needed: GET /ip/* POST /ip/*/mitigation/* DELETE /ip/*/mitigation/*
2. Note your credentials
Application Key: your-application-key Application Secret: your-application-secret Consumer Key: your-consumer-key
3. Configure in Flowtriq
Flowtriq Dashboard > Settings > Integrations > OVH Application Key: your-application-key Application Secret: your-application-secret Consumer Key: your-consumer-key Endpoint: ovh-eu (or ovh-ca, ovh-us)

Flowtriq will automatically enable and disable OVH anti-DDoS mitigation when attacks are detected.

Capabilities

Automated mitigation for OVH infrastructure

API-Driven Mitigation

When Flowtriq detects a DDoS attack, it calls the OVH API to enable anti-DDoS mitigation on the targeted IP. OVH's infrastructure begins scrubbing attack traffic at the network edge, protecting your server from volumetric floods.

Automatic Disable

When the attack ends, Flowtriq disables mitigation automatically. This avoids leaving mitigation enabled unnecessarily, which can add latency and interfere with legitimate traffic patterns.

Full Alert Pipeline

The OVH integration works alongside all Flowtriq alert channels. Get notified via Discord, Slack, PagerDuty, or email when mitigation is enabled and when it is disabled after the attack clears.

Multi-Region Support

Works with OVH Europe, OVH Canada, and OVH US endpoints. Configure the correct API endpoint for your OVH account region, and Flowtriq handles the rest.

Automate your OVH DDoS response

Connect Flowtriq to OVH and let anti-DDoS mitigation activate automatically when attacks hit your infrastructure.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Flowtriq integrate with OVH?

When Flowtriq detects a DDoS attack targeting an OVH-hosted IP, it calls the OVH API to enable anti-DDoS mitigation on that IP. When the attack ends, Flowtriq calls the API again to disable mitigation, returning traffic handling to normal.

What OVH API credentials are needed?

You need three values from the OVH API: Application Key, Application Secret, and Consumer Key. Create these at the OVH API console. The application needs permissions to manage IP mitigation settings.

Does this work with all OVH products?

The integration works with any OVH product that supports API-managed anti-DDoS mitigation, including dedicated servers, VPS, and Public Cloud instances. The OVH anti-DDoS infrastructure is available across all OVH datacenters.

What happens when the attack ends?

Flowtriq automatically disables OVH mitigation when the attack is no longer detected. This avoids leaving mitigation enabled unnecessarily, which can add latency to normal traffic. The transition is logged in your Flowtriq dashboard.
