How is Flowtriq priced?

$9.99 per node per month. Every feature included. No bandwidth licensing, no per-seat fees, no activation charges. This page explains the model, what you get, and why the price works.

The Model

Three ways to pay, one feature set

Per Node

$9.99/node/month

$7.99/node/month billed annually (20% discount)

Install ftagent on each Linux server. Kernel-level detection, zero sampling, local mitigation. One node = one server, VM, or container running the agent.

Per Flow Source

from $19/source/month

Volume discounts: $49 (1-2), $39 (3-10), $29 (11-20), $19 (20+)

Point your router's sFlow, NetFlow, or IPFIX at Flowtriq. Network-wide detection from router-level telemetry. One source = one router or switch.

Per Mirror Source

from $49/source/month

Tiered by IP count: $49 (up to 100), $99 (up to 1,000), $199 (unlimited)

Connect a SPAN/mirror port. Per-IP baselines across an entire network segment from one monitoring point.

Volume pricing, 365-day PCAP and audit log retention, SSO/SAML, dedicated Slack support, 99.9% uptime SLA.

What's Included

Every feature on every plan

Flowtriq does not gate features behind pricing tiers. The $9.99/node plan includes the same capabilities as an enterprise deployment.

  • Sub-second detection (kernel-level PPS/BPS)
  • 7 attack families with confidence scoring
  • Automated mitigation (iptables, nftables, XDP/eBPF, cloud APIs)
  • BGP FlowSpec, RTBH, 4-level auto-escalation
  • 9 cloud scrubbing provider integrations
  • PCAP forensics (1,000-packet pre-attack ring buffer)
  • AI-generated incident summaries
  • Alerts wherever your NOC works (Slack, PagerDuty, SMS, and more)
  • Full real-time dashboard
  • Full REST API
  • Prometheus metrics endpoint
  • Public status pages
  • SHA-256 hash-chained audit log
  • Unlimited users and unlimited incidents

The Trust Question

Is $9.99/month too cheap to trust?

Why the price works

Flowtriq's cost structure is fundamentally different from hardware-based or inline DDoS solutions:

  • No hardware. ftagent is a lightweight software agent that runs on your existing servers. There are no appliances to manufacture, ship, or maintain.
  • No scrubbing network. Flowtriq orchestrates your existing scrubbing providers (Cloudflare, OVH, Hetzner) rather than building and operating its own global scrubbing infrastructure.
  • No bandwidth costs. Detection happens on your server. Flowtriq does not route your production traffic through its network, so there are no per-GB or per-Mbps costs to pass on.
  • Software economics. Each additional node costs marginal compute and storage for metrics, PCAPs, and incidents. The per-node price reflects actual cost, not hardware amortization.

Compare this to competitors that charge based on bandwidth capacity, which bundles hardware and network costs into the license fee even when those resources sit idle. Flowtriq charges only for what it actually costs to deliver: software running on your infrastructure, metrics in a dashboard, and integration with your existing mitigation tools.

Not Included

What you do not pay for

FAQ

Pricing questions

How much does Flowtriq cost?

$9.99 per node per month (or $7.99 billed annually). Flow sources start at $19/source/month with volume discounts. Mirror sources start at $49/source/month. Every plan includes all features: detection, mitigation, dashboard, alerts, PCAP, API, unlimited users, unlimited incidents. No activation fees, no contracts.

Is $9.99/month too cheap for a real DDoS product?

No. The $9.99 price is possible because Flowtriq is a software agent that runs on your existing servers. There is no hardware to amortize, no scrubbing network to maintain, and no per-GB bandwidth costs. The cost structure is fundamentally different from hardware-based or inline solutions.

What is included in every plan?

Everything. Detection, automated mitigation (iptables, nftables, XDP/eBPF, cloud APIs), BGP FlowSpec/RTBH, cloud scrubbing orchestration, PCAP forensics with 1,000-packet pre-attack ring buffer, alerts wherever your NOC works (Slack, PagerDuty, SMS, and more), real-time dashboard, REST API, Prometheus metrics, audit logging, public status pages, unlimited team members, and unlimited incidents.

Are there hidden fees?

No. No activation fees, no per-alert charges, no bandwidth fees, no per-seat fees, no support ticket limits. The only add-ons are optional: white-label ($149/mo), managed SOC ($499+/mo), and extended PCAP retention (custom pricing).

How does Flowtriq compare to competitor pricing?

FastNetMon Advanced starts at $115/month for 10 Gbps bandwidth licensing plus $70/user/month for the dashboard (LiveView). Wanguard charges $595/year per sensor plus $995/year per flow filter. NETSCOUT Arbor estimates start at $50,000+/year. Corero SmartWall deployments start at $80,000+ for hardware plus annual licensing. Flowtriq charges $9.99/node/month with everything included.

Does Flowtriq charge per GB or per Mbps?

No. Pricing is per node or per flow source. A server pushing 100 Mbps costs the same as one pushing 10 Gbps. A 3-router network costs the same whether you are running 10G or 100G links.

What payment methods are accepted?

Credit card (monthly or annual) and cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDC, LTC, SOL) for annual plans. No purchase orders or multi-month prepayment required unless you want annual billing for the 20% discount.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14 days, full feature access, no credit card required. Install the agent, connect to the dashboard, and evaluate with real traffic.
